Find a friend when you need one

At times we can find ourselves in a lonely place in life and we know it’s time to make some new connections. If you’re at one of those moments in life, and you’d like some support, you can get in touch with us to request a befriender.

Our volunteer befrienders usually work with people who have some kind of long term condition, but if you are in need of company and want to find out if we can help, please do get in touch and we’ll do our best to support you or to guide you to those who can.

Story Circles: a new kind of conversation

A Story Circle is where a group of up to 6 people come together for 90 minutes for a guided conversation. People are given a voice and a way to share their experiences with others in their community.

These Circles are a simple, powerful way to get to know each other better, or to make new connections, and for everyone to be valued and heard.

Circles are open to everyone!

Individuals, businesses, community groups, young and old – everyone can get involved. If you’d like to be part of one, or to host one, get in touch with us. Our team can run a Circle for an existing group or organisation, or we can offer you a space on an upcoming Circle.

“I didn’t know what to expect but I found that very useful. It’s a good way to get to know people more; I found out things I didn’t know about my colleagues.”

These sorts of reactions are typical – and people are finding our Story Circles are a great way to reconnect after lockdown.
